HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL
Varsity Volleyball sets the tone for the year in girls' athletics. Our teams always compete with vigor and aspirations for post season play. It is our desire to train the whole person in body, mind and spirit. We know that training young ladies to be godly leaders on and off the court is our primary mission. Solid training in volleyball skills is a vehicle to training the whole person.
Calvary Volleyball has always had a spirit of excellence. Post season playing is always the aspiration
All high school girls who are entering 9th-12th grades are eligible to try-out for volleyball.
If interested, contact the athletic office, Coach Smith or Coach Brittany Noakes.
Girls wanting to participate in volleyball must demonstrate an attitude of respect for their team, coach, school and God. They must work hard and communicate. For equipment, they should have court tennis shoes and knee pads. Uniforms are provided.
Pre-season practices are Mondays and Tuesdays from 4:15-6. In- season practices start August 3 and will be daily until school starts. Once school starts, practices will be everyday after school and during the athletic hour. Practices will usually last until 5:30. Games will vary, but will usually range from 2-3/week. There are several weekend tournaments. Volleyball season lasts from August until the end of October and possible post season games could be a little later.
Practices are held at Calvary. Games are, for the most part, in the DFW area.
